Loud and proud: Air Intake
This K&N does two things: 1) eliminates all the hard work of Jeep engineers to balance intake flow and suppress engine reverberation from the intake, and 2) noticeably increases airflow. For point 1) it just means it gets loud and the powerband is slightly different. not associated with any real power increase, just a louder and more interesting powerband. Regarding point 2), yes, there is more dynamic here. Not many, but they are there. Buy them because they sound great, not because they make your jeep fast.
