Crisp Picture and Easy to Install

I've had dash cams for about 12 years now after an event where someone stopped in front of me, got out and started yelling at me claiming I hit him. Literally 2 cars in between us in slow moving traffic but this person was convinced he felt a bump of being hit. After that event I got a camera and since then Ive only been in one accident (rear ended) and my camera at the time didnt capture it because it was front facing. So. I got this dual camera setup for better coverage. The good:-The picture quality is very good on this, both front and back look great. A big improvement over my Yi Smart Dash camera.- Sound quality is really good. Even with music blaring its very clear.-This is my first dual camera setup and the install was really easy. when I ordered it I was on the edge of thinking I wouldnt even install the rear camera myself, but within literally 15 minutes I had the front cam installed and in another 6 minutes I had the rear camera installed. The wire tucks neatly into the weather stripping and roof liner. I did not need to pull my liner and I think for most Subaru models this would be the case (I am a Subaru Ambassador, I've been in a lot of them).- This is my first camera with GPS, and it works. I have my location and speed embedded into the video.- 5.0 ghz wifi means I can actually stream a video without buffering from the dashcam, unlike my previous 2 cameras from another brand.- The app actually works, it even identified that I had a VPN turned on once and reminded me to turn it off to connect. I am using a Galaxy S22 Ultra on Android 13 for reference.Things to Improve:-The power cable was not long enough to reach my center console/arm rest 12v plug. My work around was to use a spare 10ish foot USB-C cable I had lying around and also attached a USB Extension cable to that. Then I could plug it into my cars 2.4amp USB port. I think Vantrue sould ditch the cable built into a 12v socket and separate them. For one, without the power brick attached you could start from the camera and install towards the power socket and if you don't reach just add a USB extension. Second, it takes away your ability to use a higher amp fast charging USB 12v adapter by occupying the slot.- Something I found strange from my previous cameras is that this one will not turn on wifi while recording. My other cameras always had wifi on so you didnt need to touch the camera. On this model you need to press a button to stop recording, then long press a button to open up the wifi menu, then press on 5.0ghz to turn on wifi. It literally takes 5 seconds, but it something that could be improved. I kind of wanted to use the rear facing camera as a backup monitor while driving with a trailer to get a better look at what I am hauling since my salt shield blocks my mirror view. I cant really do that with this.- This is a nit pick, but I like my camera being as hidden as possible and this one has a glossy front around the camera that reflects light. I could see others who would disagree on wanting it to be hidden.Summary:Overall, the camera rocks. I tend to find and pick apart every little issue on stuff I buy and I didnt find much that really mattered. The power cable issue was a one time quick cable swap and doesnt matter for the next 4-5 years at this point. The picture quality and how well it transfers files via wifi more than make up the other little things. I was planning on putting my old dashcamera in my wifes Subaru Forester, but with how easy the rear camera installs, I might just buy another one of these for full coverage. The video attached is my setup on a 2019 Subaru WRX, but it would apply to most Subaru's since the interior designs are so similar and used for decades.
