Well my wife recently replaced my beloved but scratched Maui Jim Ho'okipa glasses for my birthday. I was trying to figure out what to do with old frames when I found these lenses at Revain. I figured if I could revive $150 glasses for $25 and they offer a free return policy, what do I have to lose? So I received the lenses last night and installed them this morning. I am very happy with the results. I'm glad I gave them a chance. Here are my impressions: 1) The tint is much darker than the original green lenses, but I can still see indoors with them. 2) You are polarized. I tested them with old lenses. 3) The lenses are a bit thinner than the originals, so the fit in the nose isn't as tight as the originals, but they still fit snugly when you tighten the screws. I deduct a star for that 4) Changing the lenses took about 5 minutes. There is a video on YouTube from another company showing how to do it. It's very simple. 5) This gold color looks great with my green frames. 6) The screw holes are not pre-threaded. It's not that important. Just loosen the screws and tighten them about 3 or 4 times and they screw in and tighten.
