Assembly of the bike is fairly straightforward, and if you’ve ever put together a bike or a scooter that has been shipped to you then you’re already familiar with how it is going to go. I do have to say they packed it incredibly well, there is an abundance of foam and zip ties holding things in tightly. I did order black but I was sent the "Oil Slick” version, and honestly once I saw it I didn’t care because it is really great looking.Setting this up for me to ride as a 5’11” adult wasn’t too bad. I adjusted the bars to where they felt comfortable, and moved the seat up/back. You do need to really crank down on the seat-post clamp to prevent it from twisting around, but it does hold fine if you do. The seat with backrest is actually fairly comfortable, and the riding position is super relaxed. This isn’t going to ride like a typical mountain bike, you sit on this thing like a chopper, and it is just too cool. I also was able to adjust it for my 11 year old to ride, and though it was a bit on the large side for him he managed to ride it just fine and really enjoyed riding it.The styling is great, and the mirrors are a nice touch although to be honest they are almost unusable as they aren’t very wide angle at all, but they do function to a degree. Where I was most impressed was with the motor via pedal assist and via the throttle. I really didn’t think I’d get much kick from a 250watt motor but wow it really moves. It has several different modes you can put it in, and the highest really pulls you along. I found that hills are a challenge however, but rolling terrain is not. So don’t expect it to be climbing big hills, but it will easily pull you around the neighborhood or to the store and back as I found the battery life to be excellent.Overall, I think it is bit expensive, but when compared to scooters in the same range it is comparable. I really like the detachable battery option, and it would be great if there was a way to buy another, otherwise I found this to be a really fun bike for cruising around the neighborhood.
