Review on ๐Ÿพ Extra Wide Brown Folding Pet Gate from Jobar Pet Parade by Tres Carmon

Not a real barrier, cheaply made and easy to fall off

We wanted a gate that didn't look like part of a prison and could be hidden away when we didn't need it. The Jobar Pet Parade Folding Gate seemed to fit our needs and looked good in the photos. Unfortunately, any dog or cat, even with a few IQs, will quickly learn that this gate is easy enough to be pushed back or pushed down. So it's a visual barrier at best, not something that actually keeps the animals where you want them. If you're good at pet training, you can probably get your dog to stay behind (but if you can do that, do you really need a goal?). The construction is really cheap. It is made from very soft pine and has only a light stain finish. Ours started warping after 4 months causing the frame to fall apart around the edges. The photo shows a broken edge but doesn't really reflect the full degree of deformation. After it was divided, it didn't look like it was glued or nailed at all. Since it was behind the rear window I glued it back together. Due to the design the gate has a tendency to fall when touched unless it is in the exact position you see in the photo on the box. I definitely wouldn't buy any other and wish I'd paid a little more for a better, well designed gate.
