I ordered these for my Lexus IS-F trunk and tail light to complete the conversion of all interior lights to LED. Other interior lamps required 194 wedge bulbs. Most shell LEDs are 30+mm in diameter which is not suitable for some applications such as trunk lighting. I first tried using a Philips Vision 30mm LED but didn't like that I had to bend the metal pins so much to install them. The on/off switch is also stuck because the longer light bulb has blocked the switching mechanism. I quickly searched for the shortest LEDs I could find and they were 27mm long. Their design looks a bit rough because the emitters are crooked and uneven in the product photos. For $5 I figured why not try them and at least I knew they would fit right. The LED matches the trunk light very well and the on/off switch works perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised at how bright the single bulb was. It illuminated the trunk very nicely, much brighter than the original bulb and gave off a nice white, slightly bluish light. will work in this application. This light is a twin bulb setup and with these LEDs the amount of light on the back is just right. The color temperature is a little bluer than the Philips Vision 194 LEDs I have in the front, but close enough. My only concern is how long they will last. Just take a look. The circuit board holds the two ends together, but each bulb feels solid with no play or looseness. So far I like these LEDs and I will give them 5 stars and the benefit of the doubt!
