The last multipurpose shovel I bought was like a piece of scrap plastic held together by hope and marketing. This bad boy feels like he can laugh at the apocalypse. It doesn't fold very small, but while it feels incredibly strong, it's also impressively light. I could break up stubborn dirt, remove tough roots, etc. and never felt the need to be gentle with it. I also liked how easy it is to clean the steel scoop.
