Review on 📺 Winegard FlatWave Air FL6550A: Ultimate 60 Mile Range Amplified Digital Outdoor HDTV Antenna by Pete Door

This product works but I have found that it works best when installed outside of your home without preventing it from getting a clear signal. I first installed this antenna under the back porch patio and it only picked up about 17 local channels. Initially, this was a lot fewer than the 50+ channels my previous weak 35 mile flat antenna picked up. However, the indoor antenna was not picking up the CBS station that was broadcasting the local NFL game, so I purchased this 60+ mile loft/outdoor antenna. I tried again by placing the antenna under the roof awning and popping the pole out from under the roof with nothing blocking it. Since then I have received over 100 channels with this antenna including my local CBS station (KHOU/Houston). The antenna works great, but only if you mount it outside and away from obstacles. Also, I should note that it is installed upside down and works fine. I don't think it will work well in an attic or in a house. Obviously some channels will still happen if installed indoors, but not as much as if you installed them outdoors. For this reason alone I gave it 3 stars, because the product description shouldn't say "attic". You should just leave it as "External Antenna".
