Works great for me!

I have a great picture and many channels with this antenna. Admittedly, I'm not really challenging the antenna as I live on top of a hill a few kilometers from the main station in town. But it works great for me and I like that it's small and easy to hide behind my TV.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

At 30km it doesn't work at all.

That's rubbish when you live 30 miles away. There is no channel at all. The cable is also very short and looks pretty cheap. I used an extended cable that I used with my satellite TV many years ago and got TWO dual band channels in the same location. But the others still didn't work. So the cable is obviously cheap. There has to be something better. I don't live far enough for this to work. Conventional antennas used to work much better.

  • Quick Change

  • Neutral

A very happy customer!

Very easy installation thanks to the mounting material supplied. Mounted halfway up our chimney, drilled a hole in the wall into the common room, ran a coax cable (not included) from the antenna through the wall and to the power supply (included) and then to a 3-way splitter connected. One connection to the TV antenna input, one to the Homeworx digital tuner with USB capture and HDMI output to the TV and one connection to the second floor cable hub with coax distribution to the whole house. 4โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • No insurance

See what you missed.

If you find anything in this review, get rid of that expensive cable or satellite dish. I did and use an unlimited cellular plan to stream my internet and TV. I bought the basic streaming plan for $30/month but it didn't have local channels. He didn't have ABC, NBC or Fox. That's why you need a Winegard FlatWave antenna antenna. This allows you to get these channels for free and more. At first I was a bit skeptical. After purchasing an RV with a Winegard antenna, I couldn't believe I could pick

Great Antenna - No Complaints HOA

After months of research and deliberation, we cut the cable TV cord and installed one of these antennas. We are 40 miles from the local antenna farm and live in a gated community with strict rules about things on the roof. Run the RG-6 into the vent below and into the line with the existing coax and house splitter. 2) A home amplifier was used instead of the supplied USB power adapter. 3) Took an existing cable entry and straight into the cable modem. 4) You have Hulu TV and already haveโ€ฆ

  • Some Difficulties

I get a very reliable 60 mile low powered station that has a specific sub channel that I like about 20 degrees from where it is pointing so I always nor any other tower stations scattered around my area, even the station actually 30 miles behind the antenna. This is happening in my attic, not outside what I thought I had to do. It's hard to ask for more as it picks up on everything Antennaweb predicts, no matter the direction. It comes with a good low-noise amplifier and that seems to be theโ€ฆ

Looks good but HORRIBLE RECEPTION

I already use direct DB4 antennas for wireless reception. I get most channels within a 40 mile radius. While trying to get all the major networks I decided to try this Winegard FlatWave antenna. Not only could it not improve my reception, it could NOT pick up any programs. Thinking the antenna was defective, I contacted Revain to have it replaced. Revain has great customer service. They quickly replaced the Winegard antenna with a new Winegard Flatwave antenna. The new antenna didn't workโ€ฆ

Misleading Product Description

This product works but I have found that it works best when installed outside of your home without preventing it from getting a clear signal. I first installed this antenna under the back porch patio and it only picked up about 17 local channels. Initially, this was a lot fewer than the 50+ channels my previous weak 35 mile flat antenna picked up. However, the indoor antenna was not picking up the CBS station that was broadcasting the local NFL game, so I purchased this 60+ mile loft/outdoorโ€ฆ

Wingard FlatWave Micro - better antennas for the price

I bought this antenna for my sister who lives about 18 miles from the Minneapolis TV broadcast antennas. As I have a background in electronics, she asked me if there was anything I could do to help her improve her television reception. I bought the Winegard FlatWave Micro FL-2000 for $30 through Revain. Once I got the antenna I hooked it up to their Samsung HDTV and started experimenting with placing the antenna in their living room. how the antenna is placed. It really was a "short leash" toโ€ฆ
