Funny but disappointing.

If you're looking for a device that seems pretty accurate indoors for detecting hot and cold spots, this will work very well. If you're looking for something that's easy to use right out of the box with the default settings, this is for you too. Unfortunately, these are not all advantages. The app is easy to download and automatically recognizes the device once it is connected. You get instant thermal readings that seem accurate, at least indoors. Outdoors is a different story, although maybe that's because that wasn't the intention. At night he spotted a deer across the road, which was neat, but when he pointed it at a large cluster of trees everything turned orange and yellow instead of the more accurate temperature difference I could only get by pointing it at the ground . then make a backup. Even then, he only stayed that way for a short time. Again, I don't think that's the point of this product. The product advertises that it provides a "crisp, crisp" thermal image, but when there's no clear definition of the temperature around the target you're pointing at, it's pretty blurry. The app isn't very user-friendly and the quick start guide doesn't help. The manual just asks you to connect your device and download the app. That's all. This is a thick guide, but that's because this information is available in several different languages. I'm trying to use the application, only icons on the screen. Nothing tells you what he's doing. I clicked on the arrows, which lit up, but I couldn't tell if anything had changed. The settings also do not give any information about what the individual symbols are. There were only a couple of options I clicked that popped up letting me know what it was like distance but didn't explain what 'distance' it was. When I clicked on it, the number increased, but nothing changed. Again no explanation. The camera connection method is also in a strange place. I understand it needs to be connected to USB-C, but that makes holding the phone a bit awkward. It comes with a small USB-C extender that helps plug it in if you have a phone case and makes it easier to hold. It's ok, you have to keep the camera in the middle and not at the bottom as usual, but something to keep in mind. Included is a pouch that can hold your camera, with a mesh cover for storage. Different things. Seems to be well made, although the foam inside where you rest the camera doesn't attach to the bottom at all and comes off easily. This can be good or bad depending on whether you want to remove the foam. All in all I am very disappointed with this product. Especially for the price they charge I don't think this camera is worth it. Apparently you need to be an HVAC/home inspection/maintenance professional if you want to use this easily. Although I'm not sure even these people can figure out the different symbols without information.
