The first kite I've bought in many years (not counting kitesurfing). A fun decorative kite that looks great in the sky. My 10 year old thinks it's cool. Have flown this kite twice. Once with a wind speed of about 5 miles per hour and then again with a speed of about 10 miles per hour. The long tail makes it relatively stable, although gusts/calms can cause it to dive and flip (and sometimes fall). ADVICE. The best stability is achieved when the truss is mounted in front of the vertical truss. The lines extend from the vertical bar so when the bar is in front it is pulled taut and the kite holds its shape much better and is less likely to break. (First time we flew it flew great. Second time it went down a few times until I reconsidered rod placement and corrected my mounting error.) Line supplied is pretty good but we were 600 foot hooked . roll towards him and probably lift him 400 feet. I would definitely recommend a reel for any kite especially if you expect a kid to take it back.
