Review on Enhanced GigaWorks T20 Series II Multimedia Speaker System by Creative Labs with BasXPort Technology by Keisuke Uemura ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am happy with everything, the product matches the description.

It has already been established that the speakers have a lot of untapped potential. All of the aural issues that have been discussed up until this point can be mitigated to a significant degree by adjusting the settings of the equalizer and the volume controls. Naturally, a great deal is determined by the origin of the sound. Although you should not anticipate any pleasant surprises when linked to a sound card that is built into the motherboard, the sound can still be fairly comfortable even in this scenario. By the way, in earlier evaluations, it was mentioned that the speakers would start to wheeze when the volume control is turned more than halfway; however, this indicator will be different depending on the sound card that you use. This observation is correct in regard to the sound card that is built into the computer; however, when I linked them to a different sound card and pushed the level to 70%, I did not hear any noticeable distortions in the sound. Regarding the negative that has been mentioned in other reviews, which is related with an obnoxious bright blue light emanating from the power indicator that is situated around the volume knob, I did not experience anything even quite similar. The amount of light is not at all bothersome and does not even serve to divert anyone's attention because it is not excessive. If you want the best possible sound quality from your acoustics while keeping the speaker sizes to a minimum, then this model offers absolutely no comparable options. Naturally, some Genelec 6010a will sound incomparably better than what you have now, but are you prepared to pay up to $8,500 (for ONE! speaker, in total - up to $17,000 for a pair)? This type is ideal for listening to soothing musical genres including jazz, lounge, new age, instrumental works from the 1970s and 1980s, and so on. The transaction was completed to my complete satisfaction. I hope you make the right decision.

Pros
  • 1) The good potential for sound quality (for such speaker sizes) is perhaps even the best of everything that I have heard due to the quality of the speakers (one fabric tweeter is worth something). This is because the speakers are of such high quality. Superb highs, upper mids, and bass, all around. Within this frequency range, the recreated instruments have timbres that sound natural to a large extent. The bass should be mentioned separately - of course, we are not talking about any kind of hurricane bit, but the bass can be heard, and not in the form of muddy mumbling, but quite a distinct sound of the instrument in this range, which is not at all expected from speakers of such dimensions. This is a standout feature of these speakers. 2) A compact size that can easily be stored on your workstation. 3) It is simple to connect.
Cons
  • 1) A frequency imbalance that is easily audible in the region of the upper bass (which is overemphasized) and the lower midrange (which is failed) when the volume settings are in their default positions. Because of this, the sound could initially come across as "muffled" and "tight" when it is connected for the first time. 2) The high price is likely to be regarded as the most significant detriment. If you are not limited by the placement of the speakers, look for sound options in the range of 2,300 to 2,900. This is where you will find the best possible quality.
