From the start we had the first generation of this lamp to fail and accidentally disconnect from our mains. TP-Link replaced this bulb and it took about a year to replace before it also went out. I contacted TP-Link about the issue and they didn't replace the second bulb as it was out of warranty for a year. It doesn't matter that the new lamp had the exact same problem. I'm annoyed that I spent so much on this light bulb whose LED was supposed to last 8 years. Despite my anger, I decided to throw good money after bad and give this new generation a chance. The first bulb we hummed like crazy unless we dimmed it to an unacceptable brightness at the switch. I sent this bulb back thinking it was defective, but the replacement bulb also hums, maybe even louder. It also returns. The first generation bulbs didn't hum at all. In short, TP-Link doesn't stand behind their product and this second generation lightbulb has its own problems right out of the box.
