I've been seeing these for a while and wanted one for our youngest who is almost 1 year old. We have a kind of baby animal theme for him. I think this one is very similar to the Pier 1 Rocking Elephant and costs a lot less. It arrived in a large box with 4 main pieces (elephant, wooden seesaw and two side handles) along with some screws and washers. I assembled it myself, it turned out not bad. Part of the yoke is screwed vertically into screws on the elephant's legs. I kind of had to spread my back legs to keep it going because the alignment was a bit off. The arms came up easily. It took less than 10 minutes and would have been much quicker if the hind legs were properly aligned. I am very concerned about this item as it had 5 dark spots that were quite dirty. I had to double check my order because I know I bought this item brand new and it looked like someone else returned it. Anyway, I think the rocking elephant is very cute. I think it's a great size for our 10 month old and holds enough weight that our 2 year old can probably enjoy it safely. We hid it and will post it with a big red bow on Christmas morning.
