It took only a few minutes to realize that anything but very light finger tightening of the M5 connector plugs would cause the o-rings to bulge out instead to seal. There is also not enough room on the M5 threads to use Teflon tape. They only have 2-3 threads to screw into the cylinder. If the cylinder is finger tight and the cylinder is actuated several times it will unscrew the M5 connector from the cylinder rendering it unusable. Do yourself a favor and choose 1/4 or 1/8 NPT cylinders…

2 stars for poor quality and unacceptable port design. In my work with robotics students I use a lot of pneumatic cylinders. For pandemic related distance learning I needed one for training purposes and this was very cheap and I just ordered it for demo purposes. It works most of the time and mine comes with three different pairs of quick disconnects including a 1/4" size that fits the hoses I have on hand. So for my purposes it will do. BUT.
