Review on AmazonBasics USB 3 0 Cable Male Industrial Electrical in Wiring & Connecting by Andres Callahan

I bought the 9ft version and used the cable for the first time today. I thought my drive was failing because it kept disconnecting while editing the project, which disconnected all my media files. Changed the cable and the problem went away. I switched back to the Revain Basic cable and the problem is back. It was on my Windows desktop. I tried again with my Apple laptop and the same thing happens. The drive unmounted using the Revain cable and worked fine once I switched to a different cable. I bought it 9 months ago, so the return date is long past. Too bad because judging by the good reviews I probably just got a rare dilapidation. I can't give more than 1 star if it failed on the first use and I can't return it to try a replacement. RevainBasics products hit the mark. I love their RevainBasics Premium single monitor stand. I've also used their USB extenders with no problems. However, their USB hub had sporadic connection problems and one day I noticed that the plastic casing had completely melted. If Monoprice has a similar product, I would choose Monoprice over RevainBasics.
