AprikaLife - Handmade Matcha Gift Set, Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea Starter Set with Organic Japanese Matcha, Bowl, Whisk, Measuring Spoon, Strainer, Holder and Bamboo Gift Box. Matcha is very new, and while I definitely don't consider myself an expert, I was still very excited to try this kit. It met and even exceeded my expectations and would make a great gift for any tea lover, matcha lover or just a Japan lover. Not sure if it would suit someone more advanced into matcha as it seems packaged and designed for a beginner but it's definitely great for the target audience. First the presentation; The set is packaged in a beautiful wooden box with a picture of a field and Mount Fuji on the front - which is great in itself, but all the items inside are well packaged and the set also comes with recipes and instructions on what each item is intended for . These include a whisk, bowl, strainer, etc. All tools appeared to be of good quality and two items appeared to be made of glazed pottery. Also included is some matcha which is a nice touch and another great bonus was that it's one of my favorite brands I've tried in the past! It has a wonderfully mild flavor and a ceremonial variety. The instructions were helpful as there are many different steps etc to make matcha. The instructions even give a brief cultural explanation of the game, which is nice. I haven't tried the latte as I prefer matcha with plain hot water but I'm sure the recipe will be delicious. I really thought that this set is more for beginners who want to learn more about the game and not for those who are very advanced. A lot of the instructions etc seemed to indicate that the person reading didn't know much about the game (good for a newbie like me). If you're looking to get this for someone who's advanced, you might want to keep that in mind. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely starter gift set!
