I've been looking for something better than the flimsy cases I keep finding. I needed to remove cat hair from a velvet chair and tried the blankets but my cat only rummaged through them until she could get under them. I needed something strong enough to stay in place. My cat also vomits, usually wherever she goes, so the thicker the better. It was better than expected. The measurements were accurate and I ordered two armrest pieces to put on top of each armrest and across the seat and then a large long piece to slip across the back, down the seat and forward. When it worked I took two inches of Velcro and taped the whole device together so I could lift it and replace it entirely. The hair does not go through the fabric because it is thick and protected by another layer. There's some sort of non-slip, grippy surface on the back, I can't say it doesn't slide on anything, but it doesn't budge in my chair. I don't know if it would be 100% waterproof if you had plenty of liquid, but if the cat throws up I know it won't get wet. They are fantastic and I will be ordering another piece for the part of the sofa he prefers to sit on.
