Review on Samsung OEM Universal 2.0 Amp Micro Home Travel Charger - White: Optimized for Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/Note 2, Non-Retail Packaging by Kim Knowles

Not official but not bad

First let me be clear, it's not really an OEM. The imprint of the Samsung name and specs was a full indication that this wasn't official gear . (It was a lot darker and a lot more washed out than the one on my Note 8.0) and the wire color was significantly warmer than the official white. I haven't done anything in terms of performance. a vaguely scientific way of testing this versus the official charger, but it seems to work pretty much the same. The loading speed is about the same. The cable meets all the usual standards but doesn't seem to be as durable as one would expect from Samsung. One of the pins holding the connector in the phone is already bent and doesn't make as secure a connection, but this is a common problem with cheaper mini-USB cables and is easily fixed with a pin. does the job and for the price can't complain but it's not the same as what came with your phone.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
