Review on SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds Live True Wireless Earbuds US Version 🎧 with Active Noise Cancelling and Wireless Charging Case in Mystic Black by Michael Baek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, the product fully corresponds to the description.

Immediately after the purchase, I used the headphones at home as a headset for calls at work (I work remotely) and while walking / jogging in nature, I was very pleased with the purchase and the sound quality. And only after a couple of weeks there was an opportunity to test the ears when driving by public transport, then a sea of disappointment happened. The headphones constantly lost signal (up to turning off one of them), the sound stuttered and disappeared, and when it appeared, there was a small short-term “out of sync” of the sound between the left and right channels. This happened only in crowded places - a large transition to the metro, bus station / station, electric train. The exchange of headphones did not give anything - the new ones turned out to be the same. I decided to leave them for home - as a good headset for calls, and use TWS JBL Reflect FLOW for transport (they sound worse, but the connection quality is stable). A couple of weeks ago, I wandered into a specialized headphone forum on a well-known site about mobile devices and found a solution there. It turned out that it was enough to select the "Scalable Codec" audio codec in the settings (developer menu) and everything was fine. The sound remained the same quality and "no gaps." I suspect that the codec settings have "lost" since I set up and connected the phone to a fairly large number of very different devices for playing sound (from mobile speakers to head units in the car). In general, I am not a sophisticated user of TWS ears. Over the past year I have used wireless Sony WI-XB400 and TWS JBL Reflect FLOW. I can say that I like Buds Live much more. It's a great headset for indoor use, it's decent enough sound for TWS in-ears (I don't listen to heavy music or rock), it's decent battery life, it's touch controls, and it's a comfortable fit in the ears. In principle, if the price does not bother, I can recommend to buy.

Pros
  • Excellent sound for TWS (with a caveat - not suitable for rock or heavy music), gorgeous stereo base, normal bass (again for TWS) Completely bombastic look. They sit comfortably in the ears, do not fall out, it happened to spend almost the entire working day in them (Skype / Zoom / phone calls) Touch control, but takes some getting used to Excellent microphone - can be used as a headset in the premises, the voice sounds legible, there were no complaints from the interlocutors Excellent autonomy: 6-8 hours + case for 21 hours Since the headphones belong to the “earbud” option, they can be worn outdoors without any problems - and you can hear the music and the world around you too, there is no risk of accidentally falling under the car, you will definitely hear it Instant phone connection Convenient application on the phone, you can configure all the parameters Relatively compact case size USB-C charging
Cons
  • The main disadvantage is that with out-of-the-box settings, the headphones constantly lose signal (but there is a solution - see comments). The form factor is not suitable for everyone, it is better to try it on before buying Categorically not suitable for rock (all sounds merge into a mess) Touch control takes a long time to get used to - it took me a week to start using it "on the machine" There is practically no effect of active noise cancellation (in general, active noise cancellation on in-ear headphones is nothing more than a marketing trick). Already at a volume of 30-40 percent, others listen to everything that plays in your ears (these are earbuds - you can’t get away from it). Therefore, headphones are not suitable for quiet rooms where you are not alone. Too much gloss - the case instantly "slams" (I have black headphones) Price

The only point is that the headphones are from China, but the original was checked in Samsung
