Review on 🌬️ Dorman 911-503 Evaporative Emissions Canister Vent Valve: Optimal Solution for Efficient Ventilation by Kevin Cole

Revainrating 5 out of 5

According to the Dorman website, this is the correct part number for the 2004 Nissan Sentra.

canister bleeder valve here on amazon and installed it in 2017. It worked fine but needs to be replaced again and now the amazon workshop says it doesn't fit my car. Revvan is wrong. Go directly to the Dorman website to find out what part your vehicle needs. Also, don't forget to replace any rubber hoses that lead to the evaporative emission system. Some are in the engine bay and some are in the back of the canister. They have to be very tight or they will leak and you will still have an exhaust leak code. Simply putting clamps on a hose that is too loose will not work. I had both a hose shop and an auto parts store that would sell me the wrong hoses before finally getting the correct hoses from another auto parts store. You'll need two hoses with different inner diameters, but they're pretty cheap. After I bought them I saw a lawn mower hose at Ace Hardware that looked like it might be the same as the smaller hose and was cheaper.

Pros
  • . Direct replacement - This canister vent solenoid fits and performs like original equipment with simple plug and play installation.
Cons
  • . Good, but not great.
