If you use this for a car audio system, you probably have a 4 ohm impedance system and sometimes a 2 ohm impedance, and using this 8 ohm speaker will reduce the effective speaker output by 75%. Good if you have a powerful center speaker, bad if you prefer volume. If you want more power from the center speaker, get the 4 ohm version instead. But it is very well made and works great. The only downside I could find was that the screw holes didn't line up exactly with my old GM speaker, but I was able to get it to work.
