I have a craving for the Russian Neva technical razor blade made of carbon steel. Every time I tried to cut a piece of wood with a different straight razor, the edge not only dulled, it broke. Run your finger along the edge and you'll feel the edge curve to the side. You can't cut anything with it. The Neva was not made of stainless steel, was prone to rust and cracking, but retained a good cutting edge. I've tried many double and single blades and they all get lost after the first cut through a piece of wood. They may be suitable for shaving, but not for sewing. I bought "CRL" because it was called "Surgical Steel". I don't do surgeries but I cut wood and plastic and it cuts with no problems. Saving the edge is awesome! It's pretty spicy too. I can cut out a written letter from a regular sheet of paper without making a through hole.
