The wrist padding is nice and I quickly got used to this style of mouse pad with everyday use. The thickness is not really noticeable, neither thick nor thin. The only problem I have is that the bottom is almost sticky enough to stick to your table. It doesn't seem like a big deal at first, but after a few months of use, the edges of the mouse pad started protruding, and it's a little distracting.
