Bought this system for desktop use. Replacing my Logitech system after 10 years (highs are finally gone). Busy as I was, it took me several months to cut all of my zip ties under and around my desk to remove the old system. Finally made it today only to find it is defective! Although I felt something move inside the case when I took it out of the box. Shake him up and he's gone. Ooooo-k.? Went and installed everything. The small speakers sounded muffled - no clear highs as I was used to. Then I noticed that the bass was very weak and didn't match the dial on the wired controller. I reached under my desk and found it wasn't even working, just a very faint hum/buzz coming from the side cabinet. So I unplugged the main power supply and unscrewed the cover exposing the speaker connector and power cord. I looked inside with a flashlight and saw that the magnet was no longer connected to the speaker and was magnetically attached to the transformer coil inside the case. It took me too long to install, so I can't return it. What a waste of money! I think I will return to Logitech. How cheap can these parts be to get the magnet off the speaker? #totally disappointed
