There might be a way to make the wall seal stronger, but I haven't found it to withstand more than a light broom for any significant amount of time. I went to my stairwell where I had (had) brackets for hanging brooms, dustpans, mops etc. and found several times that the seal had come loose and the broom was sitting on the floor with the mounting hook. If you need to hang one of these wide brushes I would recommend buying a bracket that can also be screwed to the wall in addition to the double sided tape. Either that, or buy this one and use a good quality 3M tape instead of the one that came with the kit. Construction is pretty good, just won't stay on the wall when hanging anything over 3-4 pounds.
