I used this mattress for about 2 weeks before writing my review so I could make it as accurate as possible. So far I've loved it! It arrived a day earlier than expected. The box is heavy so I definitely needed help carrying it home and getting the mattress out of the box. There were removal instructions on the plastic cover and after 2 cuts the bed was inflated! I let it sit for 24 hours before installing it on the frame. I will note that my bed was never inflated to a full 12 inches - all around 10 inches. This doesn't bother me as I already have a high bed frame and the mattress is still of good quality. It smelled like "new mattress", but it wasn't obtrusive and I actually found it pleasant. When I pulled the sheets on, I hardly noticed. The mattress itself is neither the firmest I've slept on nor the softest. Spirals give the mattress a firmer feel, while a thin layer of memory foam on the top pillows adds comfort. If you like a medium firm mattress, this is just about perfect. I chose to wear my 3 inch memory foam topper for extra softness and I literally feel like I'm sleeping on a bouncing cloud. I've never been so in love with a bed! I bought this mainly because I needed a firmer mattress within a nursing student's budget. I can tell you firsthand that this is the best I've ever had! I haven't had a single issue with it so far, but I'll update this review to see how it holds up over time.
