Works like a charm good for filters
Activated charcoal works amazing! There was an odor in the car that no shampoo or air freshener could remove. After replacing the filter, the smell was almost gone. YouTube how to change the filter. If you are claustrophobic I would not recommend doing this alone. You will be upside down in a small cramped space with little room for your elbows. Don't forget to take a small flashlight to help you. This has nothing to do with the performance of the product, just an indication of what to expect as a DIY enthusiast. Maybe have your mechanic do this if you don't like tight spaces.
