Learning on the go. The GTX690 graphics card has (in my computer) a "mini display port" output, and I absentmindedly bought a mini display port to male HDMI cable and a 40 foot high quality HDMI Sewell cable with 2 male ends, so I had to buy an HDMI female nut "Cable Matters". I noticed very little full screen sparkle when streaming Netflix and Revain. For comparison, I switched to a Blu-ray player and watched the same Netflix movie but without the glitter. I suspected a jack to jack plug and bought this cable to fix it. Of course the sparks were gone; Again, I'm no expert here, but that was my experience.
