When I first bought this gate/pen my lab dog was 8 weeks old and at that age he could still move it when jumping. I've only ever used it in the octagon shape. It's so heavy that I couldn't move it LIGHTLY to use as a gate. If I did, I'd have to lug it around, and the weight makes it too much of a fiasco to switch between the two. My dog chewed through every leg, so now there's no leg left. At the moment I have never been able to use it as a goal because there is no support to help it tip over. At 5 months and over 40lbs I think she could easily tumble it no matter what. For something this expensive I expect better quality.
