Review on OOK 50672 Professional Picture Hangers, ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Brass - 20 Sets, Holds up to 10lbs by Wendy Rodriguez

Worth the extra cost; much less damage to drywall.

Like most people, I've used cheap "silver" picture hangers my entire life and just assumed it was normal that when the hanger was removed there would be a jagged hole in the drywall Fix; not a huge hole, but big enough to be visible even after filling up. I ran out of paint to touch up the walls we were going to hang some new photos on and thought I'd try these OOK hangers as they claim you'll just have a small hole in the wall when you remove them. Of course when we installed the hangers one was out of place and had to be moved and when I took it off I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was really just a small hole in the drywall. The difference with OOK hangers is that the 'nail' that attaches the hanger to the wall tapers to a thin, sharp point at the end, so there is less damage when the nail is driven in. The open end of the "nail" is grooved and the head is larger than a regular nail, making it easier to grab and remove from the wall than the nails that come with the "regular" picture will. hanger. The result is a small, clean hole in the wall that only requires a small stroke of putty and I don't have to touch up any paint. While I was skeptical of their claims, I believe in OOK hangers. and will use it from now on. tip at the end, so that when the nail is driven in, only less damage occurs.
