Overall a good mouse with a few minor issues

As a previous owner of the RAT 7 (like many people I've seen testing the new line of RAT mice) I've finally been happy Watch this product return to store shelves. I have big hands with long fingers and unfortunately there are practically no mice that are suitable for this. (I still don't understand how this happens, but that's a topic for another day.) First the good: finally full RGB support (mostly*). The fact that a white 8+ version was available prompted me to jump into buying territory. The responsiveness is exactly what I expected, although nobody needs a 16k+ DPI sensor. (Seriously - a 21:9 2160p display is 5120 wide - meaning you're going from one edge of the screen to the other by moving your mouse 1/3 of an inch. If you have three of these next to each other, that means that you can get there from one end to the other by moving the mouse INCH, I digress.) I didn't encounter any build quality issues that other people have raised. The mouse looks stable and is also so in the hand. Adjusting the various parts is easy, and I haven't come across things like changing the palm rest and small rest, or adjusting the angle of the thumb rest. Not Good: I can't even call it bad because it's ultimately picky, but it's enough to lower my ideal rating, but YMMV. As with the original mice in this line, I love that they include some customizable mouse sizes and customization options. I particularly like the textured palm rest on the back of the mouse, but I would have liked to see a second small full-size overlay that included a textured grip portion rather than just the flat insert on the right side. Also on the comment "full RGB. Fast", is the one that really gets on my nerves. There are four sets of indicators on the mouse: the logo, the DPI button under the horizontal scroll wheel, and the DPI indicator. Three of those displays are fully controllable RGB, but the DPI display is static red and cannot be changed. This was the previous line of mice but somehow they didn't bother to update this one. It's such a small change that I don't understand why they left it like that. If you use ANY color scheme other than red it will stand out like a sore thumb because it will always be visible even when the mouse is in use when your hand is likely blocking most if not all other light sources. There is absolutely no reason they should have done anything in this way for these lights and compared to the rest of the product it just makes them stand out even more. Even if they didn't make it an addressable RGB LED for some reason, turn the light on a few moments after the DPI change and/or when the system boots/wakes up. As it stands, it's just a very poor design choice. The original RAT 7 and 9 came with hard plastic cases that could hold extra accessories that are no longer included. I held on to my old one for a long time but finally got rid of it; Now I regret that I couldn't put up with him a little longer. Again, this isn't a deal breaker, just a flaw that doesn't make the mouse a five-star product. Overall this is a great mouse, especially if you're like me and have the very long fingers that standard mice find on the market today. just too small to be comfortable. If you can overlook the aforementioned minor flaws with the poor RGB lighting and lack of a textured pinky, then by all means go for it. Paired with my white Phanteks P500D case, the white and black theme is absolutely gorgeous and compliments the whole system perfectly.
