I installed this in my camper van to connect a 12v appliance in the kitchen. I also like that it has a built in digital voltmeter that I can use to monitor the health of my battery. However, shortly after the installation was complete, we went on a road trip and the plug just stopped working out of the blue. I removed the light from the wall it was installed in and checked all my connections and they were all tight. I also checked my 12v supply and good ground and everything was as it should be. However, I still couldn't turn it on. I ended up plugging the unit into a 12v outlet on the front of the van and driving on. Then, out of nowhere, the panel turned back on. As a mechanic and electrician I have no idea what caused it to accidentally shut off. I haven't found the time to revisit this yet, but I have to say I'm disappointed with the quality of this product. It seems very cheaply made. For now. I would not recommend you to buy this item, it looks beautiful. but it is not reliable. And I can assure you my wiring and connections are solid and my batteries are in good condition. because I replaced both of them to make sure it didn't cause problems.
