Ideal replacement for traditional sponges

I tried a pair of silicone sponges, they seemed more hygienic than ordinary sponges. All of them have failed before. Most of them are made of soft silicone "tips" that don't do anything against dirt, they have the same cleaning factor as ordinary sponges! I love her. I've been using the same one for a while, the only reason I should replace it is because it gets chewed up by knives. As they come in a pack of three I think they will last a long time. Will buy the same set again if they need to be replaced.
