I needed to mount it as high as possible with the cable exit down. They stopped working when it rained for the first time. I learned a valuable lesson trying to diagnose her at work. I grabbed the ballast to shake or tap it and it kicked me out of the shit. The wires coming out of the ballast were unsealed so they were filled with water. I turned off the light, removed the nut that secures and "seals” the wiring, and drained the water. Moving them up and lowering the nuts to the ground keeps water off the ballasts. They have been working for 3 weeks now. UPDATE 9/2017: After about 4 months, a ballast failed. runs for a few minutes and then shuts off. Turning the light on and off turns it back on, but only for a few minutes. If you buy a set of these, buy 2 so you have a spare if something goes wrong.
