Inexpensive airbrush with a few modifications

This is probably the best value airbrush considering all the accessories that come with it. There are a few minor issues that can be fixed with a little elbow strength. Pros: Basically this is a clone of a very popular double action airbrush from the Japanese brand. I've been using this airbrush for two years to paint everything from 28mm miniatures, military models, toys to firearms. I've used acrylic, enamel, and varnish paints with no problems. The price is just amazing. 3 needles and the quick connector itself fully justify the price of the airbrush. Minuses: This isn't really a minus considering the price, but the overall finish of the airbrush is a little rough, especially the cup and needle. Gaskets are mediocre. Brass needle tips are SUPER brittle, a little more brittle than other brands. This brush is by no means ready to use, so do yourself a favor and check out the online airbrush tutorials. Cloth for polishing metal. This will make it easier for you initially, and eventually the needle will "break in" and get better over time. Cup and needle roughness can be further eliminated with airbrush coating chemicals such as U-Star or Fun Coating. These coatings make your components hydrophobic, which means that they actively reject color. It won't. It will not stop paint from accumulating. but will definitely greatly improve reliability and reduce cleaning time. Inferior gaskets can be replaced with beeswax and/or teflon tape around anything that has threads such as: B. Air valves and nozzles. This applies to any tool that is properly cared for and cleaned. Clean after each use and then lubricate with airbrush lubricant. It depends on the hardness of your water, but do not spray tap water out of an airbrush and then let it air dry as it will collect in your airbrush. then lubricate with airbrush lubricant.
