After years of using cheap plastic combs I was looking for something more durable and of higher quality. I did not want. First, they are metal, but simply cut from a flat sheet 1mm thick with sharp edges. They are so thin that they bend more easily than plastic combs. And they are painful to use as there are no pointed or smooth edges on the handle or tines. The tips of the teeth roughly scrape my scalp and instead of sliding through my hair, they keep catching and pulling the hair out. After all, they're just too big. I think 2 inches shorter would make more sense and they would at least feel a bit stiffer. I can't even use them and stick to my cheap plastic combs. At least it doesn't hurt to use it.
