I know why you buy two so your cat can wear these collars for two days. They are very cute and the colors looked great on my cat, but in less than 24 hours of wear, which consisted mostly of sleep, the collar broke and frayed into shreds. Other reviewers have mentioned this and I should have paid attention. They're inexpensive, so if you just need them for a few holiday snaps of your cat and nothing more, then I'd highly recommend them for that purpose.
