I fell, my knees hurt and I couldn't get up well. I'm not willing to pay a monthly fee and let someone come to the house. My husband is strong and can still help me when I need help. He's also very hard of hearing and when I need him he's asleep or across the house. The range is good. I can go outside and the alarm still goes off when I fall. I think it's great for the price and works great for me. The volume wakes him up and the flashing light warns him. Excellent purchase!
