Review on 🌡️ Dixon Valve Coupling TTB50 Temperature: Unmatched Performance for Precise Temperature Control by Ahmed Rowe

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I should have tried this a long time ago!

Yes…there is a difference in tape but I had to be sure. I figured whatever brand or gauge I bought, just winding more threads would do the trick. I'm not a plumber but I buy houses, live in them for 2 years, make any necessary repairs/improvements and then see from there. It seems like every house needed a major plumbing job, so I just bought the cheapest 10-pack of Teflon tape I could find and kept wrapping the tape until the leak stopped...or replaced the fittings. The extra thickness of this tape provides a better seal but does not come off easily. I'm happy with it but I had to give it 4 stars because it was difficult to peel off and the end was torn. If you tend to cut it with scissors then this is a 5 star item. I think it's much better for metal threads because they tend to cut more tape when connecting hardware.

Pros
  • Industrial Sealant
Cons
  • Thin
