Really great network rack

I bought it for home use, for my network centers. I hung it on the wall high up in the back room of my house. I wanted to open it specifically so I could get at things in the background. When it's loaded, I honestly get a little nervous opening it. I did so, but with great care. The hinge is fine, my main concerns are if it swings too far, too fast and if it breaks out of the wall. I know I couldn't catch him. Of course, if it was empty, it was fine. I bought a shelf that is a bit bigger than I really need. I'm only using 5-6U here, but didn't want things to get too cramped after installing it in the smaller version of it. I also ordered it deeper than I really need. I installed a smaller UPS, a pinhole and a 1U switch in it, as well as a homebuilt 2U server for my firewall/router. I also have a cable modem and other small network devices. Everything worked perfectly! When attaching to the wall I used snap bolts on the 4 corners of the back panel. As far as I know I got it right, but I didn't feel safe leaving it that way. So I took some cabinet screws (heavy weight), drilled 4 holes in the top and put them in a stud that I stuck behind this thing. After that I felt safer with him. Obviously the last thing I want is for this to fall off the wall. The glass door is a nice touch. It looks very cool. There's a ground wire on one side of the glass door, which is frankly useless even there. So I just removed that wire. I love that the sides fall away so I can access the back. This makes it the perfect stand for my installation location and current changes to my setup. For full disclosure, I bought the one returned by Revain and it was pretty broken but still working. I was able to easily contact NavePoint and share with them some of the broken items needed to make it more functional. And they were more than happy to send me (also for a very reasonable price) the parts needed to get this thing up and running. All in all I saved some money and got a cabinet that works well. And I can say that their customer service is excellent, especially since I'm only a one-time discount closet shopper.
