I don't know if it's real leather or just braided rope but it fits my pendant perfectly! great after 2 months. I really like the smart closure. This allows the suspension to tilt freely. The cord is very soft, flexible and comfortable around the neck, it doesn't stiffen or snap like my other previous leather purchase. I would buy it again - great price. Update 7/2020: I've been wearing it every day since I bought it over a year ago. It holds my pendant well, hasn't discolored or faded in the shower, the clasp works great. Very satisfied!
