Review on Sysax Multi Server by Bryan Gallardo
A decent alternative when using cloud services is difficult
I like that it allows me to store all my documents in one place instead of having them scattered across several computers or servers.
I dislike how there are some features left out as far as security goes (such as password protection for certain folders.) This isn't necessarily bad by itself, but if you're looking at this software because you want more secure storage than just a network drive would give then look elsewhere. We were trying to make sure that our files could be easily accessed from any computer with an internet connection so we used Sysax.
Pros
- Allows users easy access through cloud interface
- Can use multiple machines.
- Easy way share folder information among team members who need quick info about specific projects
- Keeps file hierarchy consistent throughout whole office system
Cons
- User experience is not very user friendly when uploading/downloading large amounts off data
