Bought these pants to keep rain and cold out when needed. On the first day, the bird flew into the left side and ricocheted off. It might hurt. The installation is quite easy. One piece slips onto the frame and snaps into place. There is a zipper for road bike handlebar pegs. After about 700 miles I noticed a slight melt where the material wraps around the frame and is very close to the heads. All in all it was a good buy. I would buy again if needed.
