They worked well during our recent power outage
We have a small house and bought two of these units, one for the main hallway and one to move from room to room when needed. Our power went out intermittently for two days and it served us well. You can set them to turn on and off when it gets dark, which seems to work pretty well, or you can turn them on or off. We turn them off during the day and turn them on/off automatically at night. You can then turn them off and carry them around like a flashlight. They're not too big or heavy to carry around, and while they're not the standard flashlight shape, they're easy to hold. We will likely buy more in the future.
