Very nice tank

I have to say very nice and the glass is really thick. In general, the aquarium is excellent for my little turtle. Now for something more important. This aquarium (at least the medium one I bought) will only contain this little turtle until it needs more swimming space. I have no idea how fast they grow. Other than that, the plan was to keep her until she (I have no idea if she is, the kids say she is) is big enough to release into the lake across the street from where she is has come. The filter inside is just a sponge, so I suggest adding some sort of charcoal bag to the filter area to take some of the smell away. Yes, it starts to smell a little and you need to change the water every few days. Buy a small siphon and it will really help. I ordered some XS carbon bags and should arrive today. I also put in some rocks that I like to sleep on and also some river pebbles that I'm adding after a water change today. This will help her move around better as the tank material is a bit slick. Hope they help. The tank is well built and larger than we thought, so we might still need to buy some kind of stand. If you have some kind of table next to an outlet, everything is fine. Oh, and buy a timer for the lights. Now back to the tank. We like him very much. If we work with him for 2-3 years I'll be happy as long as he lasts. It's functional and looks better than the basic 10-gallon standard tank. However, you may need to make some adjustments to make it work properly.
