This is wonderful. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality. They are cotton but have a little stretch. They are thick enough to give my six year old good support. He climbed trees, slid over rocks on his butt, and was covered in mud, and they looked brand new every time, which is quite an accomplishment. Pockets and drawstring are functional. My 6 year old is of average height for his age and has a strong build. They sit comfortably around his waist and reach just above his knees, which is good for climbing and such.
