I have a very skinny child but I would still say they are too big. My son is a size 5 on most brands but he's only now fitting into these 4T shorts. I got them a long time ago and they have only fallen off so far. So if your child is skinny like me, go down one size. The shorts are made of very high quality material/cotton. Nice and thick, almost like soft denim material. They look good but are comfortable enough to play in all day. I love the pattern too!

Size just above the knee. The drawstring is functional and not just decorative. So if you have a very thin child, you can tighten the belt. My 7 year old prefers the elastic waistband on all his pants and shorts because he always waits until the last minute to go to the bathroom so he doesn't want to fiddle with buttons and zippers. They have cute dinosaur skeletons (T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Triceratops and Raptor) printed in green and white. The skeletons are small enough not to be noticeable, but large enough to be recognized. They are longer than short ones that fall to the knee. They are a bit big, size 6-7 is closer to 7 than 6.

These cute shorts are made from mid-weight cotton and the print is just gorgeous! Bright and shielded, it actually runs through the washer and dryer perfectly without fading and has virtually no shrinkage.
