My wife wanted to buy this carafe when we have visitors. The carafe is of high quality and keeps the coffee hot for a long time. The carafe is easy to clean with a little hot water and soap. I believe the carafe is meant to make four 8 ounces. Cups, but for me it's a small amount of coffee to start the day or for a group of people. When my wife and I first used the carafe I divided the 32 ounces into two cups and it was perfect for morning coffee but I wouldn't recommend it as it's not very economical. The decanter is best used for small gatherings or parties. I would definitely recommend this decanter but be aware it is only 32 oz.
