Review on πŸ“ž Yealink YEA-W56P - Business HD IP DECT Cordless VoIP Phone and Device in Silver by Joseph Flamm

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Basically, I like the system. I would recommend it and I would buy it again.

Before we switched to this system we were using vtech analog cordless phones with a Cisco PAP2T analog adapter for about 6 years. I've been using the Yealink YEA-W56P system for a few months and I'm very happy with it. The sound quality is good; Our customers hear us much better than on our Vtech phones. Battery life was excellent. We have a low call volume and can go about 2 weeks without a fully charged phone. We use the system with RingCentral. I found Hesk's review very helpful, but still had trouble with the initial setup since Yealink's web interface uses the word "Name Registration" while Ringcentral calls it "Authorization ID". As soon as I entered the data in the right fields, it worked straight away. I don't like that it can only handle two calls at a time. If you have a call on hold to answer another call and want to return to the first call to transfer it to another handset, this is not possible. The only option is to connect the two calls, which in our case will be two clients, so it's useless. It would be more efficient if he did not perceive the call/transfer to another handset as a third call. The most difficult transition from an analog system to this is routing calls. With analog I could hold a call and any phone could answer it. In this system you have to put the call on the handset before they can talk to the caller and if they then have to transfer the caller back to you they have to transfer the caller and not just hold it. Some people found it difficult to learn how to serve/understand, how to translate and hold, so they just hand their phone back to me to end the call. Basically, I like the system. I would recommend it and I would buy it again.
